The Superintendent Professional Preparation Series Academy (SUPES Academy) is a professional development program for those who aspire to the position of Superintendent and for those recently appointed to the Superintendency (within first year). 2018 will be the 19th year the Academy has been offered. With hundreds of graduates including about 1/3 of sitting Michigan Superintendents, the Academy has established a record for excellent Superintendent preparation.
Those aspiring to the position of Superintendent are asked to submit credentials that support their qualification to apply for a Superintendency within a year and a recommendation from their current Superintendent. The academy is offered annually with 2-day sessions in August, September, October and November. Participants are required to attend all of the sessions. Note: The Michigan Leadership Institute Superintendent Professional Preparation Series Academy is not affiliated with any superintendent academies or their sponsoring organizations operating outside the state of Michigan.
